Does data exists ?

Does data exists? NO…..
In day to day life we always refer to data. It has become intimate part of every engineer. But none of them know what exactly the data is!
There is no such thing called data in machines.
Then what exist in machines? How our file gets save on machines? What do you mean by saving data on to the machines? …..
Well the data is hypocritical concept it exist as well as not. But machine never plays with data. Then what it manipulates on our commands given to machines.
Answer is ‘Information’..!!
Yes it is hard to get through...but the terms data, information and knowledge are frequently used for overlapping concepts. The main difference is in the level of abstraction being considered. Data is the lowest level of abstraction, information is the next level, and finally, knowledge is the highest level among all three. Data on its own carries no meaning. For data to become information, it must be interpreted and take on a meaning. For example, the height of Mt. Everest is generally considered as "data", a book on Mt. Everest geological characteristics may be considered as "information", and a report containing practical information on the best way to reach Mt. Everest's peak may be considered as "knowledge".
So how does computer save data? Ever thought why microprocessor is made of semiconductor rather than pure conductor?
Well what machine does when we give command to save it just save state of semiconductor .And we all know there is band gap in semiconductor, this helps to consider various states. So here data doesn’t exist at all. What computer has/had is information. When we read it from machines our data is derived from that information.
Same theory applies for system restore. When you restore system the machine just pick up a state from its event log and put microprocessor working in that state. So there’s no place for data in machines, because data doesn’t exists virtually. ALL that is filled in machines is Information.
